Quickshow, a local media services company, has recently developed an improved way for the golf industry to utilize viral marketing. Opt-In email marketing is a vital part of any golf courses marketing mix. Said John Morgan, former golf professional in charge of the
TrophyLake
golf club newsletter for eight years. With Quickshow, a course owner can quickly adapt their campaign to match blank spots in the tee time schedule.
With Quickshow, golf course promoters are provided with the tools necessary to compete in todays media rich environment. Said
Rick Dorey
, CEO of Quickshow, LLC. Golfers today are more informed and demand to see as much about a course as possible before scheduling a tee time.
Quickshow combines many of the World Wide Webs most dynamic and promising technologies in a way that makes building media rich slideshows easier for sales professionals directly responsible for the success of what they are selling. Said Ryan Lynd, Creative Director for Quickshow, LLC. The idea is simple; take out the time and expenses typically required for building a campaign like Quickshows and put the control of the campaign back in the hands of those responsible for it and companies will turn a profit.
4 GOLF, an optional service to enhance Quickshow, is an interactive tour that provides the viewer with a first hand look at the course from their computer chair. All the important information about your course is displayed at the time when a potential player is deciding to make a tee time. Golfers are provided with more information giving them the opportunity to make a more in-depth decision on whether or not this is the course for them.
Campaigner, an optional service from OTDmedia, is the unique combination of a Quickshow email with the improved sharing and traceability of ForwardTracker. The idea is simple. You have a Quickshow with a powerful message, a message that thousands will want to see and hear, but you only have a limited number of email addresses to share this message with. Enter Quickshow campaigner. First, select a campaign template. Then, attach your Quickshow. Finally, send it out to your first wave of emails and watch your message spread.
The goal of Campaigner is simple; increase the speed at which a Quickshow message is spread by involving the recipient in the campaign. This can be accomplished two ways. First, improve how a Quickshow is forwarded. If the message is easily forwarded then it is more likely further people will participate. We can do this by including the information necessary to forward the message in the email natively and using PHP and apache to send out the forwarded message dynamically to the new participants. Second, make the campaign customizable and traceable. If the participant is allowed to personalize the message they are more likely to send it out to their friends as they are now a part of that campaign. This is easily accomplished by letting participates enter a personalized message along with generating a custom tracking page for them. Visually tracking the messages success is the icing on the cake. Using PHP and SWF we can display the impact of the message nationally. Along with the number of participates and the degrees of separation. This will further engage the viewer and entice them to participate. An example of this is at: http://www.tide.com/tidecoldwater/challenge.jhtml
A successful campaign assumes your message is solicited and appropriate. If your message quickly makes it to the junk box, the campaign is as good as dead. Thus Political and Charitable messages are the best candidates for Quickshow Campaigner. The bottom line is your campaign is only as strong as the message attached. And since we already know a Quickshow will increase the impact of your message, a strong campaign should be no problem.
Today marks the combined effort of both OTDmedia executives and programmers as they start work on the first new major release of the Quickshow Client software in six months. Code named tsunami the project will drastically change the core functionalities of the existing Quickshow client software. OTDmedia creative director, Ryan Lynd said. The goal of tsunami is to add a deeper dimension of functionality to the Quickshow Client while maintaining the ease-of-use that is expected by our customers.
The Tsunami project is expected to add many new functions to the Quickshow Client software, most notability the ability to add dynamic text effects on-the-fly into any show. Other additions include the ability to transition images and an improved user interface.
The tsunami release date is set for late September and will be distributed freely to existing customers. This is really exiting stuff said OTDmedia CEO, Rick Dorey. With tsunami a user will have all the tools at the finger tips to build beautiful shows without an extensive background in design.
